PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In 2016, Goodman started a programme with Uaviation to undertake regular (every 90 days) thermal and visual inspection services of large commercial structures. The inspections include:

• Small area high definition mapping (10-20m)
• Thermal mapping (80m)
• Specific infrastructure examination (includes guttering, air conditioning equipment, flues and extractors)

This work is carried out by a team of specialists including:

• Pilot
• Sensor operator
• Specialist roof inspection engineer

The inspection engineer uses a live broadcast to direct the drone and field of view to anomalies and areas of interest.

This programme has increased Goodman’s compliance with Safe workspaces and removed the need to invest in barriers and restraint systems on existing roofs.
